Norfolk Lakes Park

One of MY FAMILIES FAVOURITE spots is Norfolk Lakes Park in Narangba! This park is more than just a playground, and ideal for families of all ages.

Location: Situated on the corner of McKenzie Avenue and McDonald Drive in Narangba.

You can also drive down Bantry Avenue, Burpengary and park near the footpath and

walk/ride into the park as well. This takes approximately 10 minutes with the little kiddies (Great energy burner) to get to the heart of the playground.

This park offers a tranquil, large manmade lake that is home to ducks and freshwater

turtles. We have even spotted a few eels, which are sure to delight the kids. Head over

onto the bridge for a better look at what is in the water.

The water birds are friendly and will walk alongside you on the path hoping to get a feed.

There are plenty of walking and bike paths to explore, as well as areas for barbeques and

picnics.

This park offers shade and conveniently close amenities to the playground. There is a park

with bark and sand, suitable for ages approximately 1 – 10 years.

If you have teenagers or more active kids, the flat paths wind around the lake and make it a

great spot for scooters and bikes.

For the exercise lovers, there is an area near the bridge with exercise equipment for a FREE

gym sesh!

The toilet is a new one (MY KIDS ARE FASCINATED WITH THIS LOO – haha).

It has mosaic art on the side walls, electronically locks with an allowable 10 minutes and

plays music while you go. – Brilliant.

It’s a beautiful spot to spend the morning or afternoon and relax alongside the billabong lake, pack a picnic lunch, take the bikes and enjoy this great area with the family. We are very lucky to have parks in our suburbs as nice as this one!
