Norfolk Lakes Park
One of MY FAMILIES FAVOURITE spots is Norfolk Lakes Park in Narangba! This park is more than just a playground, and ideal for families of all ages.
Location: Situated on the corner of McKenzie Avenue and McDonald Drive in Narangba.
You can also drive down Bantry Avenue, Burpengary and park near the footpath and
walk/ride into the park as well.This takes approximately 10 minutes with the little kiddies (Great energy burner) to get to the heart of the playground.
This park offers a tranquil, large manmade lake that is home to ducks and freshwater
turtles. We have even spotted a few eels, which are sure to delight the kids. Head over
onto the bridge for a better look at what is in the water.
The water birds are friendly and will walk alongside you on the path hoping to get a feed.
There are plenty of walking and bike paths to explore, as well as areas for barbeques and
This park offers shade and conveniently close amenities to the playground. There is a park
with bark and sand, suitable for ages approximately 1 – 10 years.
If you have teenagers or more active kids, the flat paths wind around the lake and make it a
great spot for scooters and bikes.
For the exercise lovers, there is an area near the bridge with exercise equipment for a FREE
The toilet is a new one (MY KIDS ARE FASCINATED WITH THIS LOO – haha).
It has mosaic art on the side walls, electronically locks with an allowable 10 minutes and
plays music while you go. – Brilliant.
It’s a beautiful spot to spend the morning or afternoon and relax alongside the billabong lake, pack a picnic lunch, take the bikes and enjoy this great area with the family. We are very lucky to have parks in our suburbs as nice as this one!
