Burpengary CREEC Environment Centre (MORE than just an ENVIRONMENT centre.)
The Moreton Bay council have been upgrading the kids’ playground over the last six months and WOW it’s a great spot, making it a potential three park playground in one!
This park will accommodate for the smallest of kiddies to the mid-teens and features a double flying fox running through the middle of the park.
At the moment park number 3 is still in construction but is almost complete.
The park also has a big swing, a spinning round-about, a long bench with rollers that you can lie on and roll through to the other side – (had us in fits of laughter watching the lack of upper body strength we had)
The little kids area has a big old rain tank house with a slide coming out of it, climbing poles and a sandpit ( Although the bark does go into it) My Mr 3 LOVES it.
Take the BIKES and let them ride, there is enough pathways for the kids to ride and burn the energy they have.
Toilets are located in the main building and there is also a water fountain to fill up your water bottles if needed..
There is HEAPS of room and several tables for families to spread out and have a lunch or a birthday party.
The building has GREAT ART all over it, showcasing the local environment. There are even statue animals placed around the building – which is a hit for the little kids.
This park sits on an 18 Hectare reserve, so if you are up for a walk it offers a great self-guided walking track – PRAM & BIKE FRIENDLY with information points and also backs onto the Burpengary Creek.
The park is OPEN 7 days for everyone’s leisure and is Located at 150 Rowley Road, Burpengary 4505
The environment centre and nursery are open Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm and offer a wide range of activities and native plants for sale (Check the FB page for nursery opening times).
