You prepare weeks in advance for the birth of your first child with your hospital bags packed at the door, ready to go. Here's another really easy craft activity the whole family can get involved in creating. All you need is an empty egg carton, paint, glue and skewers or pipe cleaners for the stems. Cut the middle of the egg carton as shown in the top left image. This will be the centre of the flower. Then cut out an equal number of 'cup' parts. Paint the individual parts in your desired colours. Once dry, glue the centres (we used split pins to attach them, but this was not necessary).
Next time you're stuck inside due to wet weather, why not try out this simple craft activity with the kids. Just cut down some old egg cartons, so you have just the cup part.
